About

I am a multi-award-winning game and user experience designer, most known for my work on Hardspace: Shipbreaker, which won Best Design and Fan’s Choice Awards at the Canadian Game Awards in 2021.

I hold a Masters in Digital Media and have over 7 years of experience working in industry and in education. I have contributed to many projects across multiple platforms ranging from interactive installations (ARS Electronica), AR mobile applications (Minecraft Earth) to more traditional PC games (Hardspace Shipbreaker).

Through my work, I explore the relationship between game design, story (narrative and world building), and user experience design. Most recently, I have given a talk at the Game Developers Conference about the nuances of interface design and usability, and how it can connect narratively and thematically to the game world to build better player experiences.

I currently also teach Human-Computer Interaction at Northeastern University and am also acting as the Vice President of Full Indie; a non-profit Vancouver-based indie game development organization.

Living, studying and working in three continents has given me the oppertunity to absorb different cultures, people and behaviours and I bring this knowledge to my design. I love stories; hearing them, telling and creating them.
